This year marks Israel’s 75th anniversary! Wanting only a homeland of their own, the Jewish nation has survived war, terrorism, and waves of anti-Semitism. Now more than ever, it is critical for Bible-believing Christians to stand with Israel and the Jewish people. As Christians, we support Israel because we believe that the words of Moses and the ancient prophets of Israel were inspired by God. We believe the emergence of a Jewish state in the land promised by God to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was ordained by God. We believe that God has a plan for this nation and that He still intends for them to be a blessing to all the nations of the earth. The same God who spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai is our God. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are our spiritual Patriarchs. Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel are our prophets. King David, a man after God’s own heart, is our hero. The Holy City of Jerusalem is our spiritual capital, and the continuation of Jewish sovereignty over Israel is further evidence to us that the God of the Bible exists and that His Word is true. Moreover, as Christians, we serve a Jewish Savior who we believe was the divine Messiah of Israel, spoken of by the prophets, who entrusted the worldwide dissemination of His message to twelve Jewish apostles. Right now, as the nation of Israel celebrates its 75^th anniversary, we must send a clear message to the world—declaring that Christians will stand with Israel and the Jewish people.
